Gorezone is a German brutal death metal band from Oldenburg , Lower Saxony , which was founded in 1995 under the name Wolfshade .
history
The band was founded in 1995 under the name Wolfshade by Sebastian Bösche (drums), Markus Krügel (electric guitar) and Torben Waleczek (vocals). Two years later, Thilo Neidhöfer (electric guitar) joined the band. The first demo called Carry the Twin was released that same year, the second ... Eats the World Alive two years later.
In September 2001 the band recorded their debut album Erase the Scum under the new name Gorezone and released it that same year without the support of a label. The album was recorded in the Soundlodge Studio under the direction of Jörg Uken . This was followed by some appearances. In late 2003, the band recorded a promo CD, which caught the attention of Chainsaw Fisting Records and landed a contract with the label. The Grind'm all Tour followed in spring 2004.
In late 2008 and early 2009, the band worked in three different studios and with two different singers on the album Brutalities of Modern Domination . The cover was designed by the Italian artist Marco Hasmann . The album was released in October 2009.
Another album, entitled Antibiosis, was due out in the fall of 2015, but was not released. In 2019 the album Implexaeon was released on Rising Nemesis Records .
style
The band plays an aggressive variant of Death Metal, whereby influences from Grindcore can also be heard. The quickly played drums are characteristic, especially the fast blast beats . The fast passages are interrupted by slower, groovy passages. Another feature is the extremely deep, guttural singing .
