Gortahork ( Irish and official name: Gort an Choirce ; German about: "Haferfeld") is a townland in County Donegal in the far north-west of the Republic of Ireland .

Gortahork is located in the north-west of County Donegal between the places Gweedore and Dunfanaghy on the national road N56 , which opens up the west and north of the county as a circular route, and belongs to the district and old Parish Cloughaneely , whose central place is about 5 km northeast of Gortahork Falcarragh is located on the N56 .

Since Gortahork is located in a Gaeltacht region, the Irish name Gort an Choirce is the official name of the place. The population for the place was determined in the 2016 Census with 185 people. In parliamentary terms, Gortahork is part of Donegal South West .
