Falcarragh (officially Irish : An Fál Carrach or Na Croisbhealaí ) is a place in County Donegal in the far northwest of the Republic of Ireland .

Falcarragh is located in the north-west of County Donegal between the towns of Gortahork and Dunfanaghy on the national road N56 , which opens up as a circular route the west and north of the county, and is the central place of the coastal district and old Parish Cloughaneely , to which u. a. also belongs to Gortahork. The first written mention of Falcarragh dates from 1822; in parliamentary terms, Falcarragh is now part of Donegal South West .

Since the place is located in a Gaeltacht region, its official name is An Fál Carrach (German: "stone wall"); the alternative, unofficial Na Croisbhealaí means "street intersection". The tallest Celtic cross in Ireland can be found near Falcarragh.
