Karl Broudre Edler von Goruszów (born October 26, 1866 in Vienna , † November 10, 1929 in Znojmo ) was an officer, colonel and last in command of the Kuk infantry regiment "Edler von Hortstein" No. 92 .

Life

Karl Broudre Edler von Goruszów was born as Karl Emanuel Wilhelm Broudré as the first of five children of Karl Broudré, who came from Prague , and Josefine Hanel. The family lived in Pilsen . Broudré graduated from the infantry cadet school in Prague and was retired as a cadet sergeant to IR Reichsgraf Browe No. 36. Promoted to captain, he was transferred to Count Daun Infantry Regiment No. 56 in Cracow and from there to IR Prince Heinrich of Prussia No. 20 in Cracow.

In 1894 Broudré was station commander in Reichenberg .

In 1903 Broudré took command of the 1st field company of the South Moravian IR Georg, King of the Hellenes No. 99 in Klosterbruck near Znojmo. In 1912 he commanded the II / 99 field battalion in Vienna Arsenal and was promoted to major and supplementary district commander in Znojmo. At the end of 1914 he led the IV / 99th Marching Battalion to the Eastern Front and was seriously injured at the head of his troops in an attack on the San. After his recovery, Lieutenant Colonel Broudré led the IX. March Battalion IR 99, which converted into the independent IV./99 field battalion in the night of May 2, 1915 over the Dunjajec and stormed some places as part of the great Gorlice offensive. Colonel Broudré was, among other things, district commander in the occupied territory of Poland. On December 15, 1916, the army command gave him command of the North Bohemian IR Edler von Horstein No. 92 in Komotau and promoted him to colonel in 1917.

Private life

Broudré was first married to the Bali native Helene Potjewyd, born Hirsch. The early divorce resulted in three children, two sons and a daughter. Colonel Broudre is a relative of Franz Max Broudre in Saaz . The rise of the nobility was announced publicly in 1917 in the Neue Freie Presse Wien and other newspapers.

After 1918 the family name was Broudre or Broudre-Goruszow.

Colonel Broudre / Broudre-Goruszow was buried on November 14, 1929 in the family crypt in Saaz.
