Gottfried Christian Winckler
Gottfried Christian Winckler (also Gottfried Christian Winkler , born September 19, 1635 in Brieg ; † July 4, 1684 ) was a German physician , Physicus in Brieg and personal physician to the Elector of Brandenburg.
Life
Gottfried Christian Winckler was the son of the Brieger doctor Daniel Winkler (1599–1658) from Reichau near Nimptsch in Silesia. He studied medicine and received his doctorate on April 30, 1658 in Heidelberg . He then worked as a physicus in Brieg. He later became the councilor and personal physician of the Elector of Brandenburg.
On August 15, 1673, Gottfried Christian Winckler was registered under matriculation no. 49 as a member of the Academia Naturae Curiosorum , today's German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina .
