Gottfried Ritter was a German film editor and assistant director .
Life
Ritter was one of three sons of the film director Karl Ritter . He was the younger brother of the cameraman Heinz Ritter .
Karl Ritter was one of the most sought-after directors during the National Socialist era and played an important role in National Socialist film policy . In numerous films, Charles Knight at this time for nationalized by the Nazis UFA staged, including several Nazi propaganda films , recorded Gottfried Ritter as a cutter for the Editor in charge. He also worked as an assistant director in some films.
