Gottfried Wilhelm Küstner (born September 13, 1689 in Paunsdorf , † December 2, 1762 in Leipzig ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon secret war and appellate councilor, assessor of the court of higher courts and the Schöppenstuhl in Leipzig, dean of the Wurzen monastery , mayor of the city of Leipzig and head of the Thomaskirche there.

Life

He came from a family of scholars in Leipzig and embarked on an administrative career. He became a lawyer in the service of the Elector of Saxony, who was also King of Poland. In 1711 he received his doctorate at the University of Leipzig with the dissertation Dissertatio Inauguralis De Menstrua Et Annali Praescriptione Literarum Cambialium. Occasione §. XXXII. Ord. Camb. Lips.

From Gustav Heinrich Mylius he acquired in 1726 and from Adolph Heinrich Mylius in 1727 their shares in the rye and Hapfer leaseholds in several places near Saalekreis .

Gottfried Wilhelm Küstner died on December 2, 1762 in Leipzig and was buried in the new church on December 5. He had the only Christian Wilhelm Küstner who followed in his father's footsteps and, like him, also became a lawyer and mayor of the trade fair city of Leipzig.
