Gottfried von Lüdinghausen

Gottfried von Lüdinghausen (* 14th century; † 30 July 1379 ) was canon in Münster and provost at the old cathedral in Münster .

Life

Gottfried von Lüdinghausen was the son of the knight Hermann von Lüdinghausen and came from the Westphalian noble family von Lüdinghausen . He sealed the chapter statute of September 21, 1313. His father Hermann, together with his son Hermann of the same name, concluded an alliance with Bishop Ludwig , which Gottfried sealed as canon on March 30, 1314. On August 1, 1318, he was one of Bishop Ludwig's guarantors for Count von der Mark . In 1353 he vouched for Ludolf von Steinfurt to the count. Gottfried, who was also pastor in Lüdinghausen, was appointed by the bishop to the council for the government of the monastery on April 17, 1336 . From 1364 to 1376 he was provost at the old cathedral in Münster.
