The former schools of the Gotthilf-Vöhringer-Schule ( GVS for short ) have belonged to the Diaconal Institute for Social Professions with headquarters in Dornstadt since 2011 and are Protestant technical schools for socio-educational and medical professions. The following (vocational) technical schools belong to the GVS: Technical school for work education / work therapy , curative education care , curative education assistance, care for the elderly , occupational therapy , speech therapy , physiotherapy .
The school has four locations in the Bodensee-Oberschwaben region - in Weingarten (Württemberg) , in Gammertingen- Mariaberg , in Friedrichshafen and in Ravensburg . The school is part of the 'Diaconal Institute for Social Professions'.
The school is named after the Protestant theologian and functionary Gotthilf Vöhringer (1881–1955).
