Gottlieb Abraham von Jenner (born July 17, 1765 in Bern ; † July 31, 1834 there ) was a Bernese statesman.

Life

During the time of the French invasion in 1798, Jenner managed to save part of the Bern state treasure. In his function as Bern High Commissioner for War (1797–1798) he received the French General Balthasar Alexis Henri Antoine von Schauenburg , with whom he had a memorable exchange.

In 1801 Jenner was a co-initiator of the third coup d'état (October 27-28, 1801). In 1802 he held the office of the Helvetic Foreign Minister for a short time. From 1803 to 1813 he was a member of the Bernese Small Council.
