Gottlieb Ludwig Heinrich von Gess
Gottlieb Ludwig Heinrich Gess , from 1840 von Gess , (born September 6, 1792 in Göppingen , † December 27, 1842 in Esslingen am Neckar ) was a Württemberg governor.
Life and work
Gottlieb Ludwig Heinrich Gess attended the Latin school in Neuenstadt until 1806 , after which he trained as a clerk. In 1811 he was drafted into the military, in 1812 he became a lieutenant in the 3rd Infantry Regiment. As a first lieutenant he took part in the campaigns from 1813 to 1815, and in 1817 he finished his military service. In 1817 he passed his service examination at the Department of the Interior, from 1817 to 1820 he was secretary at the tax council. From 1820 to 1824 he worked as a bailiff and clerk in Köngen . From 1824 to 1831 he worked as a senior magistrate at the Geislingen District Office and from 1831 to 1842 for the Besigheim District Office.
Honors, ennobling
Gottlieb Ludwig Heinrich von Gess was awarded the Knight's Cross of the 1840 Order of the Württemberg Crown excellent, which with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ) was associated.
