Oberamt Geislingen
The Oberamt Geislingen was an administrative district in Württemberg (on attached map # 16) , which was renamed District Geislingen in 1934 and dissolved in 1938. The largest part of the district was added to the district of Göppingen , eight communities came to the district of Ulm and one to the district of Münsingen . history
The city of Geislingen and most of the surrounding places belonged to the territory of the imperial city of Ulm until 1802 , fell to Bavaria with the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss and came to Württemberg by state treaty in 1810. The Oberamt Geislingen, which was formed in the same year, was also incorporated into the short-lived Oberamt Wiesensteig. Neighbors of the district, which was assigned to the Danube District from 1818 to 1924, were the Württemberg regional authorities of Ulm , Heidenheim , Göppingen , Gmünd , Blaubeuren , Münsingen , Urach and Kirchheim .

All of the communities named in the list with a predominantly Protestant population belonged to the Lower Rule, whose administrative center was Geislingen . -
Kurbayern
The rule Wiesensteig comprised the places Wiesensteig, Deggingen, Ditzenbach, Drackenstein, Gosbach, Hohenstadt (1/2), Mühlhausen, Reichenbach and Westerheim. In 1806 it came under Württemberg sovereignty by means of the Rhine Confederation Act . - Duchy of Württemberg
The old Württemberg half of Hohenstadt was subordinate to the Oberamt Göppingen. -
Imperial Knighthood The following gentlemen were registered with
the knightly canton of Kocher, the Swabian knighthood, which fell to Bavaria in 1806 and were ceded to Württemberg in 1810:- Donzdorf ( Count von Rechberg ),
- Weißenstein with Böhmenkirch, Nenningen, Schnittlingen, Treffelhausen (Count von Rechberg),
- Eybach ( Count of Degenfeld-Schonburg ),
- Kleinsüß (Baron von Bubenhofen).

Changes in the community since 1813
Around 1825 Hofstett am Steig was changed from Geislingen to Weiler.
In 1912 Altenstadt was incorporated into Geislingen.
In 1933, large and small sweeties were merged to form the Süßen community.
