Oberamt Brackenheim
The Oberamt Brackenheim was an administrative district in Württemberg (on attached map # 8) , which was renamed the Brackenheim district in 1934 and dissolved in 1938. Three communities were added to the district of Vaihingen , the rest came to the district of Heilbronn . For general comments on the Württemberg upper offices, see Oberamt (Württemberg) .
history
Württemberg acquired a large part of the Zabergäus as early as the 14th century . The subsequently expanded property was divided between the offices, from 1758 Oberämter, Brackenheim and Güglingen . The latter was dissolved in 1808 and incorporated into the Oberamt Brackenheim, which also received some formerly German-Nordic or knightly places that had come to Württemberg through the Rhine Confederation Act . At the same time, the newly created Kameralamt (financial authority) of the Brackenheim district , which was created by the restructuring of the state economy by King Friedrich, was located in Güglingen. After the reorganization, the districts of Heilbronn , Besigheim , Vaihingen , Maulbronn and the Grand Duchy of Baden were neighbors of the district that was assigned to the Neckar District from 1818 to 1924 .
In 1926 the area of the Oberamt Brackenheim comprised 30 communities with a total area of 223.52 km². There were 11,086 buildings within the Oberamtsbereich, including 4,500 ancillary buildings. The resident population in 1925 was around 31,800 people.
