history
The city of Kirchheim had been the capital of a Württemberg bailiwick since the 14th century. The resulting old Württemberg office, since 1758 Oberamt, received a small increase in area during the reorganization at the beginning of the 19th century in the form of the places Neidlingen and Ochsenwang, which were formerly part of the Kammerschreibereigut .
