Johann Christoph Friedrich Stockmayer , from 1810 von Stockmayer , (born September 12, 1766 in Großheppach , † September 26, 1821 in Teinach ) was a Württemberg governor .

Life and work

Johann Christoph Friedrich Stockmayer received private lessons under the guidance of scholars. He then worked for twelve years in various departments, most recently as a trainee in the Maulbronn Oberamt . From 1793 to 1803 he worked as a bailiff and court clerk in Plochingen , in November 1802 he became court commissioner.

He took up his first senior official position in 1803 at the Giengen District Office . From 1807 to 1812 he headed the Oberamt Tuttlingen and from 1812 the Oberamt Kirchheim . After persistent differences with the Kirchheim clerk Mutschler, he was transferred to the Oberamt Welzheim in 1820 . However, because of the transfer, which he perceived as unjust, he fell ill and, since December 1820, had been mostly in health resorts to restore his health.

Honors, ennobling

Johann Christoph Friedrich von Stockmayer was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Württemberg Civil Merit Order on June 16, 1810 , which was associated with the personal nobility ( nobility ).
