Gottlieb Schmid

Gottlieb Schmid (born October 29, 1868 in Schöckingen ; † May 9, 1937 there ) was a German farmer and politician .

Life

Gottlieb Schmid was a son of the farmer of the same name (1825–1885) and his wife Anna Katharina Cleß, c. Gerstner (1826-1888). He himself was also a farmer, chicken and bee breeder in Schöckingen, was a member of the parish council of the Mauritius Church , was a co-founder of the Schöckingen savings and loan fund and in 1902 was the founding chairman of the Schöckingen military association in the Württemberg Warrior League.

Schmid belonged to the Württemberg farmers and wine gardeners' association. From 1923 he was a member of the local council and the district council in Schöckingen and from 1920 to 1933 a member of the Württemberg state parliament for the constituency and electoral association of Württemberg III / Stuttgart Amt-Leonberg.
