Development of the number of copies sold

target group

The primary target group of the customer magazine are women. According to their own information, these are between 29 and 59 years old. They are high-income and mainly live in cities with over 500,000 inhabitants. However, one of the most important characteristics of the group is the willingness to consume. This target group should not only be addressed through the topics dealt with in the magazine, but also through the enclosed coupons.

Special features

With the customer magazine, Rewe says it wants to create a connection between a classic women's magazine and sales . Therefore, each issue of the magazine contains a number of discount coupons. These can be redeemed in all stores belonging to the Rewe Group and are an integral part of the magazine's basic concept.

Another offer

With the publication of the first edition, the company's own website went online, on which the topics dealt with in the respective current edition are taken up. Readers are offered further content on these topics as well as regular competitions. The Ivas Blog section offers readers the opportunity to interact.

According to IVW , the site had 156,214 page views in June 2016. That is 31,132 views (+ 24.89%) more than in June 2015.

Readers can also read editorial content with the Laviva smartphone app and the newsletter.

criticism

The first publications of the magazine met with negative criticism, especially on the Internet. Critics claimed that the magazine allowed its origins from the Rewe Group to shine through too much and could therefore not be considered a serious women's magazine. The reason for this is the overwhelming number of product recommendations and advertising texts. These would completely do justice to the character of a customer magazine, but not correspond to that of a women's magazine.

In addition, Rewe was said to have been modeled very much on the editorial pages of the magazine freundin .
