At 856 meters, the Gráfelli is the second highest mountain in the Faroe Islands . The mountain is located in the very north of the second largest island, Eysturoy , near the places Funningur and Gjógv .

geography

Directly opposite the Grafelli is Slættaratindur , the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands , in the southwest . The depression between these two peaks, which is still 640 meters high, is called Bláaberg . To the west of the Gráfelli is a small, prominent peak called Krákan and to the north is the slightly smaller Sandfelli at 762 meters .

The Gráfelli is one of the ten mountains in the Faroe Islands that protrude over 800 meters from the sea.
