The Bronze Age burial ground of Cloughskelt (also Cloghskelt , Closkelt , Irish called Cloch Scoilte ) is located southeast of Banbridge , in County Down in Northern Ireland . It is one of the largest burial grounds of its kind in Ireland and is characterized by the greatest range of variation among the contemporary flat burial grounds .

The two dozen individual graves are simple pits or marked by erect or lying stones. There are also burials in urns and a stone box . A large area whose findings point to a pyre was also uncovered. In 1973 the excavators found almost 50 vessels or remains of ceramics , most of them kumps and vases .
