Tofta Högar burial ground
The burial ground Tofta Högar , (also called Gudahovet or RAÄ-Nr: Hov 109: 1) is located in the municipality of Båstad in the Swedish province of Skåne .
There are 21 relics on the burial ground , which was used from the Bronze Ages to the Iron Ages . There are graves, burial mounds, stone circles and a bowl stone .
In the 1970s, some graves and parts of two rectangular ramparts were examined. Under one a ship was found with low railing stones and high bow and stern stones, as it occurs on Öland ( Karums alvar - "Noaks Ark") and is common on Bornholm . A small stone box was found between two stones of the railing , containing an urn with burned bones from the late Bronze Age. The earth and stone mound was used for burials in the late Iron Age.
The investigation of the smaller ramparts did not provide any evidence that the square was used as a settlement, but traces of piles in a roof and wall structure indicate a cult house. The remains of a palisade were found in the larger enclosure .
