Orraryd burial ground
The Orraryd burial ground ( Orraryds gravfalt in Swedish ) is located west of Nöbbele in the municipality of Växjö in the province of Småland in Sweden and, with its 400 × 140 m, is one of the largest in Kronoberg County .
The burial ground is on a low, elongated moraine , north of the old road through Orraryd. Presumably it was larger and was damaged by a nearby gravel pit . It consists of over 180 monuments, including: 116 round and flat, 25 ship-shaped, 18 square and eight rectangular and one triangular stone setting, seven Treudds and six Rosen . Many have curbs, center blocks and building blocks , some are empty. The variety of shapes is typical of the Värend .
The majority of the plants date from the late Iron Age . The roes may be Bronze Age or Early Iron Age .
