Valeberg Ryd burial ground

The north-west-south-east oriented cemetery of Valeberg Ryd ( Swedish Valebergs gravfalt RAÄ-Nr, Larv 138: 1) in the municipality of Vara in the province of Västra Götalands län in Sweden measures about 210 × 80–125 m and consists of 45 monuments: 18 stone circles , 11 remains of stone circles, seven burial mounds , five building stones , three Treuddar and a square stone pavement.

The “Stadskullen” burial mound is 24 m in diameter and 3 m high, the other six mounds are only 6-8 m in diameter and 0.6 m in height.

The approximately 0.3 m high stone pavement covers a grave and measures approximately 4.5 × 4.5 m. It has a curb with larger corner stones.

Of the three Treudds, two are unsure. The largest is about 17 meters long and 0.2-0.4 m high and covered with stones on the surface. Two of the three peaks have large end stones, with heights of 0.8–1.2 m and widths of 0.4–0.6 m and a thickness of 0.3–0.4 m.

The largest building stone is 0.8 m high. One of the domar rings is about 18 m in diameter, the others 5–11 m and low heights of 0.1–0.3 m.
