Grégory Bettiol (born March 30, 1986 in Villefranche ) is a French football player . The striker is currently under contract with ES Troyes .
Career
society
The 1.80 meter tall center forward began his career at the top French club Olympique Lyon . In the reserve team of the club he was together with Mourad Benhamida the mainstay of the team and it succeeded in winning the title in the second amateur league of France. In the following season he was in the professional squad. But here he did not get beyond the role of reservist and was often just a spectator. Bettiol made his Ligue 1 debut on September 17, 2006 in the league game against RC Lens , when orienteering coach Gérard Houllier came on in the 68th minute for Kim Källström . Since Bettiol's contract expired in the summer of 2007, he was able to move to Ligue 1 relegated ES Troyes for free . Here he is hoping for more assignments than last time with the master. In the 1-0 win on July 27, 2007 against EA Guingamp , he made his debut for Troyes when he was substituted on. He scored his first goal for the new club on September 24, 2007 against SC Bastia . Overall, he should score only four goals in 36 games. The ascent did not succeed, only the 6th place was achieved. The following year, Bettiol got off to a good start in the season, but after an injury as early as September, apart from a brief comeback in November, the rest of the season got along. Troyes relegated to the National (D3) at the end of the season . With the beginning of the 2009/10 season, and in a new class, coach Patrick Remy relied more and more on his attacker, who eventually became a regular again. As third in the table, the club managed to return to Ligue 2 immediately . Under new coach Jean-Marc Furlan , who was committed in February 2010, Bettiol kept his position in the team. Furlan continues to build on the center forward in 2010/11.
National team
Bettiol has been hunting for goals for various youth teams in his country. In 2004 he was appointed to the U-18 squad for the “Slovakia Cup” by coach and former French national team player Jean Gallice .
