The Green Software AG (proper spelling: GREEN Software AG ) is a German software company headquartered in Aachen . The company develops industry software . The focus is on solutions for non-profit organizations and education providers as well as business software for focused business processes , including personnel time and attendance . The company is one of the market leaders as a software provider for non-profit organizations in Germany. The CEO of the stock corporation, which is not listed on the stock exchange, is the founder Oliver Grün .
History and Development
Today's Grün Software AG was founded in 1989 by Oliver Grün as a sole proprietorship. The industry software programmed since then was continuously supplemented with additional functions and expanded into holistic ERP and CRM software. In addition, additional business areas were established through the establishment and takeover of new subsidiaries, including a digital agency. Today the company employs around 150 people at 4 locations.
In 1994 it was reorganized to Grün Software GmbH, before it was converted to Grün Software AG in 2001.
Products
Grün Software AG offers software solutions for the following target groups
- Non-profit organizations such as member and donation organizations ( associations , clubs , aid organizations , parties )
- Education providers such as academies , seminar organizers, universities
- HR departments of companies and organizations
In the target group of non-profit organizations, according to the company, its solutions manage more than 30 million donors, members and sponsors as well as more than 1 billion euros in donations and contributions. This makes the company one of the market leaders in Germany by its own account.
In addition, the company offers (partly through subsidiaries) other services to support digitization for its target groups, including

- Business process outsourcing as a service to take over administrative activities for customers (BPO outsourcing)

- Agency services as a fundraising agency via subsidiary Grün alpha GmbH (advice on fundraising for non-profit organizations)
Awards
In 2018, Grün Software AG was awarded the Grand Prize for SMEs by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation , which is one of the most prestigious business awards in Germany. In addition, the company received the European IT Workplace Award in 2012 as one of the 25 best IT employers. The subsidiary giftGrün has also received several awards, including the iF Design Award (2018), the European Excellence Award (2017), the Politics Award (2016), the communication design award (2012) and the Red Dot Design Award (2011) .
