Gründbergstube

The Gründbergstube is a former forest hut in the Urschlauer Forest in the municipality of Ruhpolding .

The Gründbergstube is under monument protection and is registered in the Bavarian monument list under the number D-1-89-140-156 .

Building description

The Gründbergstube is a two-storey, plastered solid building in the Heimat style with sloping corner reinforcements, block gable and wide high arbor. The building was built in 1923.

Todays use

The Gründbergstube is used by the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forests in Traunstein as a mountain forest adventure center. The building is equipped with two seminar rooms, a self-catering kitchen and six bedrooms with shower and toilet. The focus of the mountain forest experience center is "learning by experiencing nature".
