Offices for food, agriculture and forestry
The Offices for Food, Agriculture and Forests (ÄELF) (Singular: Office for Food, Agriculture and Forests , AELF) are 47 lower administrative authorities in Bavaria within the scope of the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests . The official area is defined by the areas of the districts and urban districts . The legal basis is the Ordinance on Food, Agriculture and Forestry Offices (AELFV) .
tasks
The offices are the direct contacts for farmers and foresters as well as citizens of Bavaria in their service area. They offer advice on agriculture , forestry , business administration, funding and education. Horticultural departments (horticultural centers) are located at four offices as contact persons for Bavarian horticultural companies. There are audit service departments at six offices, which mainly carry out controls in the funding area.
Specialist centers at the offices are also supraregional responsible for special areas and perform special tasks, e.g. B. Conferences, knowledge transfer, research, education.
