Tomb of the Poschinger family in Tutzing

The tomb of the Poschinger family in Tutzing , a community in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg , was erected around 1910. The tomb in the cemetery of the old Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul at Graf-Vieregg-Straße 3 is a protected monument .

The tomb of the Poschinger family at the far left of the western cemetery wall is particularly noticeable due to the two large sphinxes to the left and right of the grave. The family coat of arms can be seen at the bottom of the tombstone; it was given to an ancestor named Joachim Poschinger for him and his descendants by the imperial court palatine Peter Apian in 1547 . In the base of the tomb there is the inscription: “Stone from the local mountains, which she loved so much.” Heriberta Poschinger (1846–1903) and her husband, Kommerzienrat Michael Ritter von Poschinger (1835–1908) have their last in the imposing grave Found calm.
