The tomb of Christian Gottlieb Berger is a listed tombstone in the village of Rahna in the Großgörschen district of the city of Lützen in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the tombstone is listed as a monument under registration number 094 66146 .

The war memorial is the grave of Christian Gottlieb Berger , who fell in the War of Liberation on May 2, 1813. The tomb contains the inscription CGBerger from Breslau died for his fatherland on May 2, 1813 .

The Prussian king issued an order on February 3, 1813 a call for the formation of volunteer hunters - detachments , followed by the 26-year-old Berger and in the Hunter Detachment Guard hunters entered. In the Battle of Großgörschen , the first of the Wars of Liberation, he was hit in the forehead by a bullet in the village of Rahna on May 2, 1813.

The tomb and the bones were reburied in 1989 by the traditional group "Lützower" from Leipzig to make the grave more accessible.

In memory of Christian Gottlieb Berger, a street in Rahna was named.
