Grace Amponsah-Ababio

Grace Amponsah-Ababio (* 22. December 1941 in Ahafo Ano North District ) is a Ghanaian dentist and diplomat in retirement .

From 1955 to 1959 she attended Wesley Girls' Senior High School, Cape Coast , Ghana. From 1961 to 1962 she studied at the National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI" in the Soviet Union . From 1962 to 1966 she studied at the Odessa National Medical University in the Soviet Union. As a dentist, she specialized in stomatology .

From 1967 to 1969 she was house officer at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi . She was head dentist at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital from 1972 to 1974. Subsequently, from 1974 to 1978, she was head dental surgeon at the city polyclinic in the Ussher Fort district of Accra . She ran her private dental practice from January 1979 to September 2001. From 1989 to 2001 she was one of the initiators of the "Mobile Dental Clinic" and "Social Dental Outreach", with which dental services were provided for communities in need in Ghana. She was Ambassador to The Hague ( Netherlands ) from September 2001 to September 5, 2004 and was accredited to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons .
