Gradur (born November 28, 1990 in Roubaix , North ; real name Wanani Gradi Mariadi ) is a French rapper .

life and career

Mariadi has Congolese roots and grew up in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region . In 2009 he completed his school career with the BAC pro vente . Two years later he decided to join the French army. He began his musical career in 2014 when he released a series of freestyles called Sheguey . In the same year he resigned from the army after three years. In October 2014 his first mixtape ShegueyVara was released , on which his previous freestyles were included. In the course of the next few months the songs Terrasser and Jamais appeared and enjoyed great popularity. Shortly after the release of Terrasser , he signed a recording deal with Universal . His debut album L'homme au bob was released on February 23, 2015 and included collaborations with artists such as Chief Keef and Migos . The rapper recorded the album in the summer of 2014 during a visit to Chicago . It immediately reached number one on the French album charts. In November 2015 Gradur released the sequel to his first mixtape, Sheguey Vara 2 . Numerous guest posts French artists, including himself were on this project in July , Nekfeu , Soprano or Black M . After he had over a million subscribers on the Instagram platform in November 2016 , he released his second album Where is l'album de Gradur . Like its predecessors, this project also achieved a gold record within a short time . In October 2019 the rapper returned with the album Zone 59 and achieved his first number one hit in the French single charts with the third single Ne reviens pas , a collaboration with Heuss L'Enfoiré .
