The Graf-Überacker-Palais is located at Dreifaltigkeitsgasse 9 and 11 at the corner of Makartplatz 6 in the Austrian capital of Salzburg . The baroque building is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

In 1601 a new building belonging to Countess Maria Katharina Kuen was documented except for St. Andre Pogn on Mirabellstrasse . In 1723 Wolf Maximilian Graf Überacker bought the building and expanded it into an aristocratic palace. In 1912, when the house was rebuilt according to plans by the architect Bruno Grüner, the baroque facade was largely retained. Today's baroque portal on Makartplatz with its wrought-iron skylights came to its present location in 1912.

Until 2011 a post office was housed in the building . Today the consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany uses the building.

architecture

The three-story facade is grooved on the ground floor and has neo-baroque window frames. The central portal to Makartplatz is from the 18th century.
