Count of Winterthur
Some members of the Udalrichinger family were known as Counts of Winterthur in the 10th and 11th centuries . The first of them was a son of Count Ulrich VI. from Bregenz . It is believed that Liutfried II was the builder of the Kyburg , first mentioned in 1030 . The daughter of the last Count of Winterthur, Adelheid, married Hartmann I. von Dillingen and thus became the ancestor of the Count of Kyburg .
As Counts of Winterthur, the following were known in chronological order:
- Liutfried II of Winterthur (* around 930), son of Ulrich VI. von Bregenz, Count of Winterthur-Bregenz
- Adalbert I of Winterthur (* around 950 - 8 September 1030), son of Liutfried II of Winterthur, Count of Winterthur
- Werner I. von Winterthur or Werner I. von Maden (* around 990; † 22 August 1040), son of Adalbert I of Winterthur, Gaugraf in Hessengau , from 1030 also Count of Winterthur, bearer of the imperial banner
- Adalbert II of Winterthur (* around 1025; † June 18, 1053 at Civitate), second son of Werner I of Maden and last count of Winterthur
