Liutfried II of Winterthur

Liutfried II of Winterthur (* around 930–970), sometimes also Liutfried I of Winterthur , was Count of Winterthur - Bregenz . Liutfried is believed to be the builder of the Kyburg . He comes from the noble family of Udalrichingen .

He was the son of Ulrich VI. von Bregenz , Count of Bregenz and Count in Upper and Lower Councils , and Dietburga von Sulmetingen . His youngest brother was Gebhard von Konstanz , who was bishop of the diocese of Konstanz from 979 to 995 .

Three sons of Liutfried are known: The eldest, Adalbert I (* around 960), inherited him as Count of Winterthur , Lütfried III. (* around 970), became Count of Mörsberg and Werner (* around 980) became Count of Kyburg .
