Obersulmetingen is a village that has belonged to the city of Laupheim since 1975 . It lies on the Riss , a tributary of the Danube .
history
The lords of Sulmetingen were a noble family and ancestors of the lords of Neuffen .
On January 1, 1975 Obersulmetingen was incorporated into the city of Laupheim as the last of today's Laupheim suburbs.

The townscape is dominated by Obersulmetingen Castle .
