Muttensweiler is a village that has been part of the Ingoldingen community since 1972 .

history

The first traces of human settlement can be seen through a Roman road in the district. The name indicates a foundation between 600 and 800 AD.

The first documentary mention was in 1275. Muttensweiler was feudal and agrarian. Only with the French Revolution did the social order change and in the middle of the 19th century people became owners of their property. On June 1, 1972, Muttensweiler was incorporated into Ingoldingen.

Culture and sights

The townscape is shaped by the Catholic Church of St. James.

The Upper Swabian Way of St. James leads through the village from Ulm to Constance .
