Aalst county

The county Aalst , named after the 870 first called Castle Aalst , was about the County of Flanders to the Burgundian Circle . In 1056 the county Aalst was as Reich loans ( Reich Flanders ) to the Count of Flanders came as the successor to the well-known since 964 counts of Aalst. With Flanders, the county of Aalst came to the Duchy of Burgundy in 1384/85 and with this to Habsburg in 1477 . In 1794 the rule fell to France and in 1814 to the Netherlands. After the division of the Netherlands in 1830, the county of Aalst became part of Belgium .
