Graham Payn

Graham Payn (born April 25, 1918 in Pietermaritzburg , South Africa , † November 4, 2005 in Switzerland ) was a South African-British actor , comedian and singer .

At 13 he played the Curly in Peter Pan at the Palladium . In 1932 he appeared in Noël Coward's revue Words and Music and subsequently in pantomimes , plays and musicals . In 1948 he met Coward again for Tonight at 8:30 am , who wrote roles in his following West End musicals Pacific 1860 and Ace of Clubs especially for Payn . He gradually co-directed and directed Coward's plays. Until Coward's death in 1973, both lived together in a civil partnership; they spent the last few years in Jamaica and Switzerland, where Payn lived from then on.
