description

Gran Trak 10 is a racing game for one player. It takes place in the top view. The route boundaries consist of points. In addition to the steering wheel, the player also has an accelerator pedal, a brake and a four-speed gearshift (three forward gears and reverse). As many laps as possible must be driven in a limited time.

Later there was also a model in which two players could play at the same time.

successor

  • Gran Trak 20 (for 2 players)
  • LeMans (4 courses)
  • Formula K (with LED counter)
  • Sprint 2 (with microprocessor)
  • Speed Race ( Taito , 1974)

technology

The simple ROM was used to store the car, the points display, the time display and the route.

The monitor was a 23-inch black and white television. A microprocessor has not yet been used, rather circuits with transistor-transistor logic (TTL) of the 74 series. The crash noises were even generated in an analog way with a transistor as a noise generator and three operational amplifiers.
