Grande Anse ( French for "Big Bay", also: Grand Anse Palmiste , Grand Palmiste Bay ) is a bay on the West Indian island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean and a place of the same name and a plantation.

geography

The beach is located in the northeast of the island in the Gros Islet district , below (east) the town of Boguis or Marquis . The bay is bounded by Tanti Point in the north and Tortue Point in the south. The beach is very long and straight by the standards of St. Lucia. The neighboring bays are Petite Anse with the mouth of the Petite Anse River in the north and Anse La Sorcière with the mouth of the Sorcière River in the south. The bay is to become part of the new national park.

The bay is very remote and leatherback turtles come to lay eggs from March to August.
