Grand Prix Wolber
The Grand Prix Wolber was a French cycling race that took place in the 1920s. The race was considered an “unofficial world championship”, to which the three podium winners of each of the most important French, Italian, Swiss and Belgian races were invited. With the introduction of the professional road world championship in 1927, the race lost its importance. After 1931 the race was organized exclusively for young French young drivers and was held for the last time in 1950.
The GP was named after the bicycle manufacturer Wolber , which was bought by Michelin in 1972 .
