Pizza Grandiosa , (also Grandiosa or Grandis) is the most famous frozen pizza brand in Norway . The word grandiosa comes from Italian and means “great”, “grandiose”.

The Nora company (now Stabburet ) started making Pizza Grandiosa on February 11, 1980 in Stranda in Fylke Møre og Romsdal . Grandiosa was one of the first frozen pizzas to be produced in Norway. The Grandiosa quickly became the best-selling pizza brand in Norway, but is also exported in smaller quantities to the neighboring countries of Sweden, Finland and Iceland.

20 million Grandiosa brand pizzas are sold in Norway every year. So every Norwegian eats an average of four grandiosas per year. More than 400 million pizzas have been sold in the country since their launch. The ready-made pizza, which is quick and easy to prepare, is particularly popular among young Norwegians.

According to the company's own information, 35 tons of flour, 28 tons of cheese and 20 tons of meat are processed daily for pizza production in Stranda. Nine truckloads then leave the factory every day.

As a curiosity, it can be noted that in 2006 the popular pasta was honored with its own song: full pakke ( Eng . Respect for grandiosa).
