Grant Hochstein (born July 16, 1990 in Warren , Michigan ) is a retired American figure skater who started in a single run .

Career

Grant Hochstein took part regularly in the US Seniors Championships from 2010 , but never made it onto the podium during this time. In 2016 he achieved his best result with fourth place. However, since the third of the championships Nathan Chen was injured, Hochstein moved up to the team for the World Figure Skating Championships 2016 in Boston , where he finished tenth on his debut. He particularly convinced in the freestyle with a new personal best of 162.44 points.

After the World Cup, Hochstein successfully proposed marriage to figure skater Caroline Zhang in Central Park, New York .

On August 3, 2018, Hochstein announced his resignation.
