Caroline Zhao Zhang (born May 20, 1993 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American figure skater of Chinese descent. She lives and trains in California . Her trainer was Li Mingzhu until the end of the 2009/10 season , who already looked after the 1995 world champion, Chen Lu . Since the 2010/11 season she has been training with Tammy Gambill in Riverside (California) .

Caroline Zhang was in 2007 in Oberstdorf Junior World Champion . Her trademark is the "pearl mussel pirouette" (Pearl) , an intermediate form of Biellmann pirouette and sky pirouette , which requires extreme flexibility.
