Rachael Flatt (born July 21, 1992 in Del Mar , California ) is an American figure skater who starts in a single run .

Rachael Flatt started figure skating at the age of four. She was US runner-up in 2008 and won the title at the Junior World Championships in Sofia . In 2009, Flatt made her senior world championship debut, finishing fifth. In 2010 she was US champion and played the Olympic Games in Vancouver , where she was seventh. At the world championship she reached ninth place. In 2011 she could not improve again and finished twelfth at the World Cup .

She trains in Colorado Springs and starts for the Broadmoor Skating Club there, her trainers are Tom Zakrajsek and Becky Calvin .

Flatt used to start pair skating with Andrew Speroff .
