Sydne Vogel

Sydne Vogel (born June 20, 1979 in Anchorage ) is a German-American figure skater .

biography

From Alaska native Sydne Vogel was an early rival of Olympic champion of Nagano , Tara Lipinski , who in 1995 struck at the US Junior Championships. In 1997 Vogel became Junior World Champion .

After private problems and injuries, Sydne Vogel tried a comeback in Germany. She moved in 2002 to Oberstdorf to Michael Huth , but remained at the national championships in 2003 without success. She returned to the USA (Alaska), where she started again in smaller competitions since April 2004 after a one-year break from competition. She is currently (2008) studying medicine in New York .
