Wakaba Higuchi ( Japanese 樋 口 新 葉 , Higuchi, Wakaba ; born January 2, 2001 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese figure skater who starts in a single run .
Higuchi won the silver medal in her second participation in world championships in 2018 at the World Cup in Milan . She owed this mainly to her strong freestyle performance at Skyfall , which enabled her to make up six places after finishing eighth in the short program.
