Yvonne Claire Sherman Tutt (born May 3, 1930 in New York City , † February 2, 2005 in Colorado Springs ) was an American figure skater who started in single and pair skating .

In the individual run, Sherman was American champion in 1949 and 1950 and took part in three world championships from 1948 to 1950 , where she reached the podium twice. At the World Championships in Paris in 1949 she was runner-up behind Alena Vrzáňová . In 1950 in London she won bronze behind Vrzáňová and Jeannette Altwegg . At the Olympic Games in St. Moritz in 1948 , she took sixth place.

In pair skating, she competed with Robert Swenning . Together they were US champions in 1947. In their only joint World Cup, they finished fifth in 1948 in Davos . They finished the Olympic Games in 1948 in fourth place.

After the end of her amateur career, she became a judge. She married the ice sports organizer, official and later president of the International Ice Hockey Federation William Thayer Tutt , who made Colorado Springs the center of US figure skating and also helped bring some world championships to Colorado Springs.
