Gregg Sulkin (born May 29, 1992 in London ) is a British actor . He was best known for the role of JJ in the Disney Channel series As the Bell Rings and as Mason Greyback in The Wizards of Waverly Place .

Life

Private

Sulkin went to highgate school in north London. Privately, he is good with his The Wizard of-Waverly-Place -Kollegen David Henrie and Selena Gomez friends. From 2015 to 2016 he was in a relationship with the actress Bella Thorne , with whom he had been friends for six years. Sulkin comes from a Jewish family and had his Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. In addition to the British citizenship, he also has the US citizenship since 2018 .

Career

He got his first film role in 2002 in the television film Doctor Zhivago as Seryozha. In 2006 he got his first major role in the movie Sixty Six as Bernie Rubens on the side of Helena Bonham Carter , Eddie Marsan and Catherine Tate . From 2007 to 2008 he played the role of JJ in the British version of As the Bell Rings .

From 2010 to January 2012 he played the role of the werewolf boy Mason Greyback in the Disney Channel series The Wizards of Waverly Place , where he was also seen in the series finale. He also played the role of Will Wagner in the 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie The Daughter of Avalon . 2012 and 2013 he had three guest appearances in the second season of the ABC Family - sitcom Melissa & Joey and four guest appearances in the role of Wesley Fitzgerald in the series Pretty Little Liars . From 2014 to 2016 he starred alongside Katie Stevens and Rita Volk as Liam Booker in the comedy series Faking It .
