Alexa Scimeca Knierim (born June 10, 1991 in Addison ) is an American figure skater who competes in pair skating . Together with Chris Knierim , she won a bronze medal in the figure skating team competition at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang . At the Four Continents Championships , the couple won two medals, bronze in 2014 and silver in 2016.
Personal
In 2016, Alexa Scimeca married her partner in pair skating, Chris Knierim. She then took the name Alexa Scimeca Knierim.
Career
Alexa Scimeca trained together with Chris Knierim in Colorado Springs with Dalilah Sappenfield from 2012 . The couple won the silver medal in pair skating when they first competed in the US Championships in 2013, and they won the gold medal in 2015, 2018 and 2020.
After winning gold at the 2020 US Championships, Chris Knierim announced the end of his career. In March 2020, Scimeca Knierim announced that it would compete in competitions with Brandon Frazier from next season .
