Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Kauffman (born December 25, 1946 in Seattle , Washington ) is a former American figure skater who started pair skating .

Together with his younger sister, Cynthia Kauffman , he was US pair skating champion from 1966 to 1969 . The couple competed in world championships from 1964 to 1969 . They won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Davos in 1966 , in Vienna in 1967 and in Geneva in 1968 , always when Lyudmila Belousova and Oleg Protopopov from the Soviet Union won . The Kauffmanns played two Olympic Games . They finished eighth in Innsbruck in 1964 and sixth in Grenoble in 1968 . They were the first couple to show a litter axel .
